HPHT Wells

ABOUT
The "High Pressure and High Temperature (HPHT) Wells" course provides participants with advanced knowledge and practical skills in drilling, well control, casing and cementing design, and safety protocols specific to HPHT environments. By covering advanced topics and techniques, this course ensures that participants are well-prepared to safely and efficiently conduct HPHT drilling operations, mitigate risks, and respond effectively to emergencies.

  • Understanding HPHT Environments: Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of high-pressure and high-temperature environments in oil and gas wells, including the geological, reservoir, and operational challenges associated with HPHT wells.

  • HPHT Drilling Techniques: The course will cover advanced drilling techniques and technologies for HPHT wells, including wellbore strengthening, managed pressure drilling (MPD), and high-temperature drilling fluids, to ensure safe and efficient drilling operations.

  • Well Control and Blowout Prevention: Participants will learn advanced well control principles and techniques specific to HPHT wells, including kick detection, shut-in procedures, and advanced blowout preventer (BOP) systems, to mitigate the risk of well control incidents.
